Remixing tradition: Shepherd's Trail
Shepherd's Trail is like a record label for wine. Their single-minded purpose is to find outstanding wines from smaller winemakers and gently steer them (shepherd them?) towards the wider audience they deserve.
When they approached Smörgåsbord with a brief for an identity, founders Jason Turton and Anthony Shepherd were clear that they wanted something that respected the heritage of winemaking; something classic, something that would have looked good above a cellar door in Languedoc two hundred years ago.
The solution was 'ST' as an ornate monogram. Shepherd's Trail, but also (more secretly) Shepherd and Turton.
